Nascar On Radio
As we were a country they grew up on radio broadcasts, it's not the least bit strange to imagine that with all of the medium that still exist; many people still prefer radio as a means of keeping tabs on their sporting events. When you're listening to radio you're not watching anything so inferior able to do other things. Though many of the people who listen to radio said and imagine what they are hearing or are so intent on what it is that is going on that is tough for them to pull themselves away. And with the generally very lengthy time periods that auto races take, combined with the relative lack of anything exciting happening until somebody pulls away which could be in the middle of the race and then the end is sort of a foregone conclusion, the idea of NASCAR on radio is a very silly one indeed.
If you are trying to become an announcer of NASCAR on radio you need to have a number of things. You need to be able to fill up the airwaves with color commentary about the different drivers and as the drivers change leads you need to be able to talk about that leading driver for that moment. You also need to be able to have the forward leaning intensity of a horse racing announcer who is capturing a photo finish, even when there's not a whole lack of a lot going on. The ability for somebody to be a NASCAR radio broadcaster is very interesting and is something that should be considered if you are looking for a career in broadcasting.
However many NASCAR radio broadcasts are not broadcast on one station but are broadcast via satellite so you can pick them up with your satellite radio war with your Internet radio and not on your clock radio. This is an unfortunate reality in the 21st century as Fox does a lot a live radio broadcast for NASCAR and Fox wants to make the most money possible so if they can't get advertisers to pay them what they want being paid on commercial radio they will go to satellite radio or other places where people pay subscription services and the advertising dollars a lot more highly valued.
If you are interested in alive and NASCAR radio broadcasting you want to hear it as it happens and you need to be able to be sure that you know where the free online NASCAR radio broadcasts are being held. Free is only because not too many of us have satellite radio and even if we do there are thousands of channels on satellite radio so you need to know where it is being broadcast, if it is being broadcast live, and when it is being broadcast. But if you have the online radio than you can just go online and figure that out yourself. In 2000 to NASCAR radio frequencies were nonexistent however in 2007 and beyond there are a number of NASCAR on radio affiliates that you can be able to access and enjoy and listen to all the while.
