Motorcycle Drag Racing
Motorcycle drag racing is just one of many motorcycle racing sports. Motorcycle sports encompass many disciplines of bike riding, from speed competitions to endurance tests to skillful techniques. Motorcycle drag racing involves a specific set of rules that sets this race apart from the others. Motorcycle drag racing sees two racers line up at a dragstrip and wait for a signal. At the signal, both riders accelerate down a straight paved track (about a quarter mile long) and to the finish line. The first rider to meet the finish line wins while times and speeds are recorded. Motorcycle drag racing contests can be held at specially built venues or temporary runways.
